Chiropractic Website DesignAs a chiropractor looking for the most effective methods to acquire new patients, your chiropractic website truly is one of your most important considerations.  In this day and age, most prospective patients are going to look you up on Google or another search engine before they pick up the phone and call your office.  In this sense, your website is an essential factor in increasing word of mouth referrals.  Your chiropractic website is also very important when it comes to attracting new patients to your practice who are searching online for your services.

In most cities, there are hundreds if not thousands of people searching for chiropractors each and every month on Google alone.  One of your primary goals should be to get your website in front of as many people searching for chiropractic care in your local area.  If done effectively, this can definitely be your primary method to bring in new patients.

Let’s talk about your chiropractic website design, as it will determine how effective your online marketing is.  Most chiropractic websites are missing one or more of these essential elements.  You really need to incorporate each of them in order to truly leverage the potential of the internet for patient attraction.

Chiropractic Website Design Tip #1

Make sure that your website reflects who you are!  You want your unique voice and personality to shine through your website.  Don’t settle for a cookie cutter or templatized website that looks generic and boring.  Your chiropractic website should clearly differentiate you from your competitors.  What makes your practice innovative and unique?  Is that clearly demonstrated in the design and layout of the site, along with the copy on your home page?  This is such an important factor that most chiropractors aren’t fully taking advantage of. If your website looks average and says the same things as all the other chiropractic websites out there, then why would a prospective patient choose your practice over anyone else?  You’ll get lost in the ocean of competition, which is unfortunately one of the main obstacles that kills chiropractic practices.  Be different.  Take a stand for what you value and position your services in a way that nobody else is in your local area.  Make sure your site conveys that uniqueness.

Chiropractic Website Design tip #2

Make sure that you have a powerful lead generation system set up on your website.  Online chiropractic lead generation is a matter of collecting names and email addresses in exchange for giving away free valuable information to your website visitors.  I highly recommend that you offer a special report or chiropractic e-book on your website.  Set up an opt in form with an image of your free report and position it in the upper right corner of the website.  The essence of effective internet marketing is list building.  Your goal should be to build an email list of qualified prospective chiropractic patients.  This is crucial because the truth of the matter is that most people aren’t ready to pick up the phone and call your practice right upon visiting your website.  You need to build a relationship with them first.  Educate them and share a tremendous amount of value so they can begin to trust you and perceive you in a positive light.  Chiropractic email marketing is an automated and highly effective way to do this, and the process starts by getting your web visitors to opt in for your free information.

Chiropractic Website Design Tip # 3

Make sure your home page copy is benefit-oriented.  Remember that your home page is typically the first impression that a prospective patient will have of you and your practice.  You have about 5 seconds to grab their attention and convince them they are in the right place and that you have a solution for their health challenges.  To do this, your website copy must immediately share the benefits of the service you offer.  In your home page copy, you want to connect with them by empathizing with their pain or health challenges, then suggesting that you likely have the solution they have been looking for.  Paint a picture of what their life would be like without the struggle they are currently experiencing.  Inspire them that this is indeed possible.

Most chiropractic home page focus on the chiropractor–not the patient.  The copy goes on about the philosophy of care, the office hours, why their clinic is great, and so on.  Remember that the prospective patient does not care about any of this until they feel confident that you understand their pain and can help them.  The entire home page needs to focus on this –and this alone.

Chiropractic Website Design Tip #4   Chiropractic SEO

The on page search engine optimization needs to be done so your chiropractic website can rank well in Google.  This includes setting up the title tags, meta tags, and image alt tags with the most targeted keywords and also infusing the keywords into the content on each of the website pages.  In bigger cities, it’s also important to get a lot of back links to your website.  Without a properly optimized website, there’s very little chance of driving a lot of new business to your chiropractic practice from the internet.  Another goal should be to create 1-2 health articles per month and add them to your website so you can keep the content fresh and expanding.  Google’s latest algorithm changes have placed more of a priority on generating fresh content.  In this sense, the sites with the most relevant and helpful content will usually outrank the ones that only have 5 pages or so.

I hope these tips help you with your chiropractic website design so you can benefit from the tremendous increase of internet searches for chiropractic over the past couple of years.  Don’t cut corners on your chiropractic website.  If you need help making it stand above the rest, click here and let’s set up a consult.
